FAQs
I am healthy, why should I wear a medical ID?
Despite many false perceptions, medical ID tags are not just for those who are ill. Accidents and other medical emergencies can happen at any time - in the UK alone over 20 million people every year go through A&E departments. Medical IDs help list allergies to common drugs like Penicillin, Ibuprofen, Codeine or Anaesthetics. They also highlight important conditions like Diabetes or Epilepsy whilst also displaying vital contact information in case of emergency.
The key factor of a medical ID is to be prepared and ensure critical information can be provided to emergency personnel (or even members of the public) when you or your loved ones will need it most.
How can I ensure that emergency personnel will find my medical ID?
Emergency workers are trained to and follow procedures to search through the personal belongings of anyone who has been in an accident to help identify the individual. Your medical ID also has a visible symbol, the star of life, that is worldwide recognised by emergency personnel.
How do I find the right size?
All of the medical jewellery on our site has a size guide to ensure you find the right fit. Customised bracelets (that don't have a removable tag) can't be exchanged once engraved so it's important to first measure the circumference of your wrist before making a purchase.
